"Lithograph with hand colouring. Overall size : 32cms x 49.7cms. Image size : 297mm.x 441mm. Creasing, handling marks, mainly to margins, very slight foxing in North Sea near Brouershaven, otherwise vg. conditionJames Gall invented a system of printing for the blind of the Edinburgh Blind Asylum and he published many books concerning education. His son-in-law Robert Inglis joined the firm in 1847 and this map dates from their partnership together. The maps are characterised by their lucid printing and soft, distinctive original full wash hand colouring."
