- "Lithograph with hand colouring. Overall size : 50.6cms x 31.5cms. Image size : 461mm.x 274mm. Very good condition apart from stray water colour mark in margin, very, very faint brown mark above the E of Persia and some faint creasing only visible in certain light.James Gall invented a system of printing for the blind of the Edinburgh Blind Asylum and he published many books concerning education. His son-in-law Robert Inglis joined the firm in 1847 and this map dates from their partnership together. The maps are characterised by their lucid printing and soft, distinctive original full wash hand colouring."
