Description:: "Lithography by W Crane, Chester with original hand colouring .Overall size in off-white mount : 70.5ms.x 52.6cms.Image size : 546mm.x 355mm. Minor surface abrasions in sky; repaired tear right margin just touching image; couple of marks in sky inbetween horses back legs but hardly noticeable. Remarkably atmospheric and uncommon item. The surrounding landscape is flat with hills and habitations in the distance; there is a vast expanse of sky and the man and his horse are depicted in great detail. You can sense the bond between them; the reins are lightly held despite being double and both horse and rider are looking forward to the same point off right. They both look content and hopeful. Lovely item depsite its few minor faults."
