Below the title, top left, is a compass indicator and the explanation Jones and Smith sculp 14 Beaufort Buildings, Strand; above the compass : January 6th 1804, Smith and Jones (Jones being the engraver) became the unacknowledged basis for many later maps of Monmouthshire. Central crease as published. One slight separation at the edge of centrefold on right side and three faint green marks in the Bristol Channel else very good condition.
