The missionary ship Duff, under the command of Captain Wilson, sighted the islands in 1797 naming them for Admiral James Gambier, it was the first missionary voyage to the South Pacific. Three repairs at neatline left hand side, virtually invisible ; old fold as issued; brown marking bottom left and slightdustiness else good.
