Pierre Aveline (Paris, 1702-1760) was a French engraver, publisher and print dealer. He came from a family of artists and had two sons who also became artists. He was especially famed for his copper engraved views especially of Paris and Versailles and also for his engravings of other artists’ work particularly Watteau.
