Maroon covers with gilt lettering and ownership of Mr E.A. Prosser bottom left on cover. Folded it is 11.5cms wide x 23.5cms; Opens out to 68 cms wide and approximately 79cms height, linen map. Colour coded for the Cardiff Union, Pontypridd Union, Merthyr Tydfil Union, Crickhowell Union..some scuffing to extreme edges of cover particularly top right , some age related mottling to the back of the linen map but not significant else very good condition.
E. A. Prosser was a prominent railway manager in South Wales during the early 20th century, serving as the General Manager of the Rhymney Railway and the Cardiff Railway and Docks. He was associated with the management of Bute Docks and active in railway operations around the time of the First World War.
