Van Diemen’s Land shown as part of New Holland at bottom of the map. The map covers the region between Formosa and Hainan islands in the North and Australia in the South. The areas from Burma to Taiwan are included together with parts of China, and south to Australia, including the Philippines, Indonesia, and New Guinea. Shows "G. F. de Wits Land" and several other place names on the Australian coasts. A highly detailed map naming many small islands. Some brown spotting in China sea and one spot on the ‘o’ in Borneo and on line of Tropic of Cancer - please look at magnified image - little faint browning in Indian Ocean else very good condition. Uncommon map of desirable area and interesting Australian item.
