Sea chart. Long title: A Chart of the Seacoasts of England Flanders & Holland Shewing all the Sands Shoars Rocks and Dangers The Bayes Roads harbours Buoyes Beacons and Seamarks on the said coasts. Copper engraving with later but not modern hand colouring. Overall size: 55.3cms x 48.6cms. Image size: 531mm x 457mm. Three scales of distance: English and French Leagues/Leagueas de Spania/Duytsche mylen 15 ni een groadt. Old folds as issued. Some dusting and overall time staining in bottom right blank especially. Old patch of strengthening on verso ( 1.5cm x 1.5cm) invisible from the front and virtually so on the back; two invisibly repaired nicks in the bottom margin otherwise very good condition. Possibly from an Irish pirated version of Grenville Collins' chart.
