Copper engraving with later hand colouring. Overall size : 42.1cms x 33.4cms. Image size: 374mm x 274mm. Title in cartouche in middle, scale of distance bottom right. Key to the 21 hundreds top left. No 19 bottom left. Centre fold as issued. Blank verso. Some ink marking and greyness in blank areas, C17th flaws occasioned at the time of printing - see magnified image-few printers' creases to margins and two wormholes at extreme bottom edge else good condition. These maps are the first county maps where each county is delineated on a separate sheet. They were prepared by William Kip and William Hole for William Camden's famous work, Britannia and were based on the maps of Saxton and Norden. There were three editions: 1607, 1610 and 1637.
