Copper engraving, original outline hand colouring. Engraved by Me.Migneret. Overall size in hinged off white fully conservation mount and back (so floating freely apart from two pieces of archival tape) with decorative v groove: 22.8cms x 29.8cms; image size: 74mm x 120mm. The map area is surrounded by a decorative border indicating the principle produce and features of the two counties: Wolsey and Gainsborough are noted below the map, one in a scroll and one on an artist's pallet. Sheet,, bird, fish, top, left and right denote the produce, surmounted by spires indicative of the cathedral cities of Norwich and Bury St Edmonds. One grey mark left hand blank else very good condition. Aristide Michel Perrot. 1753-1879, French Geographer. He worked with engraver Adrien Migneret (1786-1840) and text for his maps and books was by George Bernard Depping. Perrot specialised in miniature maps, elaborately engraved by Madame Migneret,rivers and towns are shown, but no scale. His miniature maps of Britain, Ireland, France and the world are scarce and collectable.
