Steel engraving, original outline hand colouring. Overall size hinged in off white fully conservation grade mount and back with decorative v groove : 36.2cms.x 42.7cms. Image size : 206mm.x 264mm. Centrefold as published. At bottom of map is a highly decorative Section from London to Cape Wrath featuring a chain of mountains, each named and with their heights marked. Faint grey marks in Atlantic Ocean below Shetland but barely noticeable else very good condition. John Crane Dower (1791? - 1847) engraver, draughtsman, publisher and printer. Engraved maps for the Greenwood brothers for Thomas Moule, Henry Teesdale and George Bradshaw.
