Overall size in hinged, off white fully conservation grade mount and back with decorative v groove : 48.8cms.x 39.8cms. Image size : 325mm.x 228mm. Very good condition apart from slight mark below Rye Harbour in blank area and old ink spot in text top right. Rare. Like Bowen (and Kitchin's) Large English Atlas these smaller maps are 'characterized by detailed texts in the spaces surrounding the map and by elegant rococo decoration, which became the hallmark of his engraving' (Iolo Roberts and Menai Roberts for DNB).
