A New and Accurate Map of Great Britain and Ireland

 Copper engraving with full wash original hand colouring, the different colours indicating the different boundaries.  Overall sheet size: 31.7cms x 38.5cms; image size: 290mm x 342mm. Some marks to the margins else very good condition.  Curiously shows one,’New Canal’ from Dublin to Clonfert.   Very clear engraving and shows both the Western Isles and the Shetland Isles.

Thomas Brown 1764-1820 was an Edinburgh based bookseller, publisher, printseller, stationer and originally an engraver.  His maps are uncommon.
