Copper engraving with full wash original hand colouring, the different colours indicating the different boundaries.  Overall sheet size: 31.7cms x 37.8cms; image size: 290mm x 342mm. Margins marked and browned - see magnified image - but a mount would cover this.   Beautiful, clear engraving, shows roads, inset of Shetland Islands.

Thomas Brown 1764-1820 was an Edinburgh based bookseller, publisher, printseller, stationer and originally an engraver.  His maps are uncommon.
