Long title: Denbigh Comitatus pars olim Ordovicum.  Copper engraving with later hand colouring.Overall size : 34.2cms x 31.4cms.  Image size: 320mm x 265mm. Title in  cartouche top right , scale of distance  bottom left. Centre fold as issued. Blank verso. A little greyness in blank areas being residual ink from the printing process else very good condition.

These maps are the first county maps where each county is delineated on a separate sheet. They were prepared by William Kip and William Hole for William Camden’s famous work , Britannia and were based on the maps of  Saxton and Norden and the Anonymous William Smith series.
