Town plan.  Delineated and lithographed by J R Jobbins, published by H Ward, Canterbury and G Bell, Fleet Street Street 1843 to accompany Felix Summerly’s Handbook for Canterbury. LIthograph with later hand colouring.  Overall sheet size: 32.9cms x26.3cms; image size: 322mm x 252mm.   Archival repairs on verso - see magnified image- remnants of old cellotape at edges which would be covered by a mount.  Old folds as issued.  Reference to the 27 most important places bottom left; reference to eleven,’narrow streets’ bottom right.  From front this early and detailed town plan is very attractive and has been sensitively restored.
