Copper engraving with later hand colouring.   Overall size in off white conservation grade mount and back with decorative v groove: 36.5cms x 45.9cms; image size: 208mm x 303mm.  
Detailed regional map of the Northeastern British Colonies, published during the American Revolution.    The map shows the Hudson River and environs, extending from Philadelphia and most of New Jersey in the south to Lake Ontario and Crown Point in the North, centered on the course of the River.    Includes  towns and Indian Tribes. Several early roads are shown, along with a number of early English Forts.  Right margin augmented with old paper 13.3 cms , virtually invisible; repair to crack 3.2cms on bottom old fold else very good condition.  From the London Magazine
